Everyone's favorite Target beauty maven, Sonia Kashuk, is releasing some new goodies you are going to want to be sure to pick up. I was sent some products to try out and I have two favorites, one of which will totally surprise regular readers. But let's start with the one you are going to, without a doubt, absolutely covet.
Illuminating Bronzer is a luxe-looking bronzer without the luxe price tag. The croc pattern is deeply imprinted into the surface, not just lightly stamped on the top. So, for once, you don't have to worry about immediately ruining the cool look of the product by using it.
(Swatched over bare skin. So pretty, even for us porcelain-skinned beauties! And luminous enough to enhance darker skin tones, too!)The color itself is a sheer wash of color that is nothing if not luminous. Depending on the brush and foundation you use, your results can differ. For example, this bronzer really grabs onto dewy skin, especially if you apply it with a dense brush. If you opt for applying it over a mineral makeup or for a powder finish with a fluffy brush, you will get a light, radiant, sheer touch of color.
One odd noteworthy tidbit about this bronzer is that it doesn't show up on a brush. Don't continually try to pick up the color; it will be magically deposited on your skin after you've touched brush to pan and then brush to face. A little goes a long way. This isn't a powdery powder but feels and applies more like a gel hybrid. It reminds me very much of a bronzer that flew off of the shelves at EL last summer.
My cheeks tend to eat blush for breakfast, including bronzers. This one does hold up better than similar products, and I can get through an uneventful work day without needing to touch it up. If you are looking for a way to get a sun-kissed look without the skin damage, check out this bronzed beauty from Sonia Kashuk at Target.
So that other new release from Sonia, the one that I can't believe I'm in love with? Her new Satin Luxe Lip Color in Pink Punch! For me, this pink is positively neon. It's no secret I shy away from these kinds of colors, but I'm trying to dip my proverbial toe into the shallow end of the neon trend pool--and this color is perfect. It feels ultra-hydrating on the lips, similar to a high-end Sephora brand. The case itself is pretty stylish. The wear is amazing and the color is wow. It's really bright. Especially on me (considering the peaches I normally fall for).
It goes on feeling silky and hydrating, and it changes into a fully pigmented stain that wears forever.
